Appreciate the kind words! When I started this project (around 10 songs I'm pretty happy with--need the script, actors, etc.), I did some research and found (1) one of Housman's contemporaries opined "Housman's poetry deserves to be set to music." (He did not mean it positively...), and (2) there were several attempts at doing just that, in England--uniformly dreadful. In the future, based on your encouragement, I'll be posting some or all of the rest!
I can't imagine a better or more suitable melody for the lyrics. I think A.E. Housman would be very
pleased with the end result. And nice guitar and vocal.
