In the beginning, was there God?
They said, “Where is God?” as they sat on a limb
And looked about in search of Him.
They said, “Where is God?” and one day came down
And tried to find Him upon the ground.
Saw an awesome shape in a hilltop tree:
“Let us worship here, for it must be He.”
And they said, “This is the beginning.”
But they found no gods in the woodland things
So they searched afar for the King of Kings.
They looked to the mountains and to the moon,
To the sun, the wind, to the stars and soon
They had built a god from a mighty stone
And they worshiped Him when the crops were sown
And they said, “This is the beginning.”
But as time went by and they had no Lord,
They made one of jade and one of board.
Then they made their gods out of mortal men
And they saw that still they must try again.
So they built one day a thinking machine
And they saw their god in this cyberene,
And it said, “This is the beginning...”
Yup, we're in the age of the cyberine.
Cool story. It reminds me of a joke. If there is a God why do we have famines and day time tv shows?
